This Wednesday, April 29th, is a special day for the British royal family. Kate Middleton and the Prince William of England celebrate 13 years of marriage. The date was marked on the Princes of Wales’ official Instagram page through a black and white photographic record of the big day.

The image was captured by the photographer Millie Pilkington on April 29, 2011, the day on which around 2000 guests attended Westminster Abbey, in London, to attend the royal wedding. More than a decade later, the Princes of Wales are one of the most popular British royals and have three children in common: George, Charlotte It is Louis.

This year, the date is celebrated months after Kate Middleton was diagnosed with cancer. Her withdrawal from public life following abdominal surgery in January this year generated great speculation in the international press and it was then that, last month, the Princess of Wales reported her illness. In a video released on social media, Kate made it known that she had started preventive chemotherapy treatments, without providing any further details about the disease.
