Actress Keira Knightley is brutally honest about her career, which began when she was very young.

Keira Knightley is a British actress who comes from a family of actors, having an agent at the tender age of six, doing advertising and television films. Her first role in the film industry was in “Star Wars – Episode I – The Phantom Menace”, where she played the double of Padmé, Natalie Portman’s character. Currently, the two actresses are still confused with each other.

Knightley began to be recognized with the films “Play Like Beckham” alongside Parminder Nagra, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Anupan Kher and Archie Panjabi, and “Love Happens” alongside Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth and Andrew Lincoln. However, her rise to stardom was when she got the role of Elizabeth Swann in the films “Pirates of the Caribbean”, alongside Johnny Depp (“Eduardo Scissorhands”) and Orlando Bloom (The Lord of the Rings saga). Remember that the actress is not part of all the films in the saga and was only 17 years old in the first chapter of the saga.

Afterwards, his career was marked by several historical films such as: “Pride and Prejudice” (2005); “Atonement” (2007); “The Duchess” (2008); “A Dangerous Method” (2011); “Anna Karenina” (2012).

In an interview with Variety In 2016, the actress explained how she felt when she achieved the astronomical success she achieved after the premiere of “Pirates of the Caribbean – The Curse of the Black Pearl”, a film that no one expected to have the success it did because feature films about pirates were in decline. Knightley revealed: “I thought it was horrible. I’m not extroverted, so I found this level of scrutiny and fame very difficult. (…) I was at an age where I was graduating, I hadn’t graduated yet, and you need to make mistakes. It’s a precarious age, especially for a woman. (…) Somehow I was still a child. It was traumatic, but it cemented my career.”

Keira Knightley confessed that she was very critical of herself when she was younger and that she was ambitious and wanted perfection from herself. However, this had a price and that’s why she decided to go to therapy to avoid making the same mistakes, but it wouldn’t change anything about her career.

The only thing the actress hopes is that her daughter doesn’t want to follow in her footsteps and is something completely different.
