Jack Richardsone and Bronwyn Tacey were born in 1994, in the same hospital, and, at that time, they were considered “miracle” babies, as they were both born prematurely and were hospitalized for weeks in Intensive Care.
The connection didn’t stop there and, several years later, they fell in love, having recently brought their own daughter into the world.
It all started at the Queen’s Medical Center in Nottingham, England. Jack was born at 30 weeks’ gestation and Bronwyn at 26 weeks, leading the families to form a friendship during the many weeks of waiting in the hospital’s neonatology ward.
“Jack was in intensive care for a year. I was there for 14 weeks. It was uncertain whether we would both survive. It’s a true miracle that we are both here,” Bronwyn recalled to SWNS.
The families kept in touch over the years and Jack and Bronwyn grew up together, despite growing apart as teenagers. It took them turning 27 to realize that what united them was more than a simple friendship.
Thus, in October 2021, and after different romantic relationships, they realized that they were “right for each other”. Two years later they decided to get married and, this year, they had their first daughter, who was born in the same hospital.
“I always knew there was something,” said Bronwyn, admitting, however, that it is “strange” to understand the way they came together.
“I don’t know anyone else or any other relationship that is like that,” he added, recalling that his parents were “ecstatic” with the news of the wedding.
Sienna, their daughter, was born on February 23 of this year. “It’s very natural for us to be together”, added the woman.
