AIn addition to addressing the controversy with Betty Grafstein’s house, José Castelo Branco also spoke about the recent discussion at an establishment in Lisbon.
The socialite was highlighting his “unbelievable love for Betty”, for her son and granddaughter Constançamentioning that they are the “three most important people in his life”, when he said: “So when they upset me the other day, when they bullied me all that way in the restaurant, I couldn’t take it”.
“They only showed what they wanted”he added, referring to the person who released the video of José Castelo Branco’s discussion at the establishment in Lisbon.

Asked how it started, the socialite said: “I had just finished dinner – there were already a lot of fans there always coming to me, I must have had more than 100 people outside while I was having dinner. […] I was with two friends and I said I had to go outside and smoke a cigarette, and they told me ‘smoke here’. I take out and light the cigarette and there is a lady who says she is eating. I immediately put out the cigarette in a glass of water. Soon, on time. I didn’t even have time to smoke.”
“When I put out the cigarette, I get up and go outside to smoke. And two people come to me. When these two come to me, they say: ‘How is it possible, you think you can do everything because you’re rich, famous, being married to a rich old woman. Your son should be ashamed of you’. […] Calling Betty old, that I was waiting for her to die and that my son should be ashamed, that was what upset me the most”he added.
José Castelo Branco also recalled that he apologized the following day, referring to the video he published on Instagram.

When asked if he was “really happy”, he replied: “I’m happy but I have a lot of fears. My biggest fear is not having Betty by my side. […] Betty is my helm, she’s the captain of the ship and I’ve been the captain of the ship right now. I can’t imagine, I’m going to feel like a boat adrift.”
Regarding the less good comments he has received over the years, he shared: “When I’m humiliated, I jump in and take the bull head on. I only cry when I’m really hurt inside, when I see Betty weakened, when I know that my son is having a problem. When my mother was alive, I cried a lot “.
Still talking about his son, he made a point of saying: “My son is magnificent. I’m very proud of that Guilherme.”
