The Texas WTI oil contract for April rose 0.47% to $81.01 per barrel, while the May Brent contract gained 0.42% to $85.79 per barrel.

Crude oil prices are rising this Monday, after Ukraine carried out drone attacks that disrupted oil refining capacity in Russia, according to “CNBC”.

The Texas WTI oil contract for April rose 0.47% to $81.01 per barrel, while the May Brent contract gained 0.42% to $85.79 per barrel.

Over the weekend, Ukraine carried out an attack on a refinery in the city of Samara, which caused significant damage to one of the refinery units’ largest facilities.

Since the beginning of this year, Ukraine has started drone attacks on Russian refineries, which are causing a shutdown of Russian refinery networks, which will probably cause difficulties in exports.

Ukraine’s secret services revealed that a dozen facilities have already been successfully hit. However, according to data from British intelligence, at least 10% of Russia’s refining capacity was disrupted by these attacks.
