Belo opened up about his separation from Gracyanne Barbosa in an interview that will be shown this Thursday (2) on SBT’s The Noite. The singer stated that he is living a “beautiful but at the same time sad moment” as he puts an end to his 16-year relationship. He also admitted that he is suffering from the breakup.

“[A separação] It’s a beautiful moment that I was experiencing and at the same time sad. It was 16 years. We’re going to take it. I’m still not well, but we have to overcome it. I’ve always been strong. I went through adversity in my life, very bad moments and God lifted me up”, he said, in conversation with Danilo Gentili.

He returned to talking about new songs after announcing that he had composed a song about his current reality. “At the end of the year, I think we will record a DVD telling the whole story of Soweto and recording some new songs. It’s worth noting,” he said.

“Soweto is a very important group from the 90s. They left a huge legacy. Everything I have from my solo career was what Soweto gave me. I wanted to show my music to the whole world and Soweto was the one who opened me up the doors”, he added.

Belo also addressed the emotion he experienced in the first show, in which he was moved to tears while singing Reiventar:

I can’t normalize this, filling a stadium, with 90 thousand people watching and reliving this moment. It wasn’t a very good week for me either, I’m going through a breakup. I put it all together. I’m a very romantic singer, I talk about things about love, about the heart. I’ve always dealt with my truth a lot

“My audience has a very direct identification with me, because I can’t hide if I’m going through any kind of problem. I always take that to the stage”, he considered.
