HThere are those who say that part of the success of ‘Baby Reindeer’ is due to the performance – and beauty – of Nava Mau, the transgender actress who gives life to the character Terri, with whom the story’s protagonist falls in love.
The series is already one of the most watched at the moment in several countries and tells part of the journey of Donny, played by Richard Gadd. What many don’t know is that ‘Baby Reindeer’ is, in fact, an account of the episodes of persecution and sexual abuse that the actor himself experienced.
Terri ends up being Donny’s ‘safe haven’ in the series, even though she finds herself involved in the ‘web of events’ that is told to us throughout the seven episodes.
Behind Terri is Nava Mau, the 32-year-old transgender actress who was born in Mexico City. She is also an activist and holds a degree in Linguistics and Cognitive Sciences.
On social media he now has 144 thousand followers, a number that has increased with the notoriety gained through the Netflix series.
