The body of Luiz Fernando Gonçalves Ferreira, 22 years old, missing since the beginning of April in the municipality of Tangará da Serra, was located by the Civil Police on Tuesday afternoon (23).
The young man was murdered and buried in a pasture area close to the place known as “mata burros”, in the Jardim dos Ipês neighborhood.
The investigations by the Homicide Division, of the 1st Police Station of Tangará da Serra, with the support of the Intelligence Center (NI), of the Regional Police Station, also resulted in the identification of the perpetrators of the crime, one being older, aged 19, and one younger, 17 years old.

The investigations began after the victim disappeared on April 4th. As determined by the Civil Police, Luiz Fernando was killed with blows from a hoe.
The perpetrators of the homicide and concealment of the corpse were questioned about the facts and confessed to the crime and the infraction, respectively, as well as indicating the exact place where they had buried the victim.
The 19-year-old suspect has been detained at the Tangará da Serra Provisional Detention Center since April 11th. The 17-year-old teenager was located by the civil police and, during testimony, admitted his participation in the infraction.
Given the information provided by those involved, assistance was requested from the Military Fire Department to excavate and remove the victim’s body. The search work also included the presence of Official Forensics and Technical Identification.
When it was removed from the ground, it was found that the corpse had the same tattoos as the victim, confirming that it was the young man.
Once the body has been located and the perpetrators have been identified, the investigation will be concluded by the Civil Police and forwarded to the Judiciary and Public Prosecutor’s Office, with indictment of those investigated.
