Musician Brian Wilson, from the Beach Boys, is under the tutelage of his managers Jean Sievers and LeeAnn Hard, reported the website of the magazine “Rolling Stone”, this Thursday (9).

The representatives filed a request for guardianship in February this year, after Wilson was diagnosed with dementia.

At 81, Wilson lives with a “severe neurocognitive disorder” that prevents him from taking care of himself.

“Following the passing of Brian’s beloved wife, Melinda, and careful consultation between him, his seven children, his doctors and Gloria Ramos, we are confirming that longtime representatives of the Wilson family will serve as guardians of Brian’s person,” it says a note published on the musician’s Instagram in February.

Now, the Court accepts the petition. The conservatorship is in charge of Wilson’s personal and health matters, not financial ones.

In a statement sent to Rolling Stone, representative Sievers said: “Although Brian is diagnosed with dementia and is mourning the loss of his beloved wife Melinda, he is physically healthy, leads a full life and is currently working on projects.” .

“We will ensure that all of Brian’s daily needs are met and that he continues to lead an active life.”
