Mato Grosso do Sul registered 804 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the last week. This brings a total of 6,941 cases since the beginning of this year. In addition, seven other people died as a result of the disease, a total of 48 victims in 2024, so far. The data are from the epidemiological bulletin of the SES (State Department of Health), released this Tuesday (19).
The victims are: an elderly woman, 62 years old, who lived in Mundo Novo, she had chronic cardiovascular disease and chronic kidney disease; an elderly woman, 71 years old, from Campo Grande, with chronic cardiovascular disease and chronic kidney disease; elderly woman, 72 years old, from Dourados, with diabetes, chronic kidney disease, chronic respiratory disease; elderly woman, 64 years old, from Coxim, chronic cardiovascular disease; elderly man, 79 years old, from Paranaíba, with chronic cardiovascular disease; elderly woman, 75 years old, from Três Lagoas, with diabetes and hypertension; man, 40 years old, from Amambai, with chronic respiratory disease.
The bulletin also points to Dourados as the city that confirmed the most new cases this week, with 82 records. Next comes Naviraí (78), followed by Campo Grande (66).
