As important as improving the service offered by SUS in Arapiraca is expanding and facilitating access to it. To achieve this, Arapiraca City Hall has a new tool: Arapiraca Acolhe, a program created and launched by the Municipal Health Department this Wednesday (3).

The launch took place in the CRIA auditorium and was attended by secretary Jackelline Barbosa and other Primary Care managers. The action marks the birth of a project that will promote greater agility in the care of patients, who will now depend less on the appointment scheduling process.

The objective of Arapiraca Acolhe is to direct service to users using their own needs as criteria, instead of following a fixed scheduling pattern. Furthermore, the program will work on ongoing education for teams so that they can understand and take into account the needs of each community when organizing the exam scheduling flow.

It is worth highlighting that the program is 100% proprietary and was created by the Department of Health team. “Arapiraca is a pioneer, it is the only one who has this project for now […] Listening to complaints from users, we created the project, started implementing it in some units and it has already turned out very well, because we have a team of excellent professionals. This is why our municipality stands out and will continue to stand out”, celebrated the secretary.

The Superintendent of Health Care, Rafaella Albuquerque, also took the opportunity to highlight Mayor Luciano Barbosa’s support for the success of the project. “The technical team can even dream and bring projects to innovate, but if they don’t have the support of managers, they can’t move forward, so when we arrive and talk about Arapiraca Acolhe, we are talking about something great. Primary Care needs to be resolute and is the gateway to the SUS, so everyone who arrives there, arrives for a reason, so it needs to be welcomed”, she explains.

Arapiraca Acolhe is another of the mayor’s investments in Primary Care, taking into account the principles of Family and Community Medicine, which aims to bring professionals and users closer together, establishing good communication with patients and focusing on a community approach.
