Food security has been treated as a priority in Crato. With the aim of offering more comfort to users of the Popular Restaurant, the Executive Branch authorized the renovation of the equipment, where around 12 thousand meals are offered per month, and which provides the public with a nutritious meal supervised by a nutritionist, with a varied menu , rich in vitamins, protein and iron. Thus ensuring a nutrient-rich diet for the population that needs it most.
With an investment of more than R$200,000, the renovation will consist of complete coverage of the slabs; complete painting of the building and equipment; repairs to floors and walls; complete renovation of bathrooms; repairs to water, sewage and lighting installations; and repair of doors and windows.
With the Restaurante Popular project completed, it heads to the bidding process. This work will be carried out with the municipality’s own resources. It’s more dignity, respect for citizens. Crato is currently one of the most prominent cities in Ceará in the area of food security.
