-

The first in-person meeting took place on Saturday, 4/27, which marked the beginning of a journey of learning and professional growth for Lavras Early Childhood Education teachers.

The meeting was part of the LEEI Program (Reading and Writing in Early Childhood Education), which is part of the New Literacy Policy, and is the result of the union of forces between the Federal, State and Municipal governments to guarantee the right to literacy for all children up to the age of end of the 2nd year of elementary school.
This continued training for educators, focusing on the development of oral language, reading and writing, will be carried out through monthly face-to-face meetings and remote meetings.

The teachers’ enthusiasm and dedication demonstrate the program’s potential to make a difference in children’s lives and the future of Brazilian education. For the Pedagogical Coordinator of Early Childhood Education in Lavras, Cristina Castro, “with joint effort and collaborative work, we can ensure that all children have access to quality literacy and build a promising future for themselves and for our country”.
