As part of the pedagogical project actions with field classes, dozens of students and teachers from Escola Virgem dos Pobres (EVP) visited, this Thursday (2), the Municipal Administrative Center and were received by Mayor Luciano Barbosa.

The children are enrolled in the 4th and 5th years of Elementary School. The Arapiraca private school is located in the Baixa Grande neighborhood.

Before visiting Mayor Luciano Barbosa’s office, the students got to know the José Raimundo Municipal Fiscal Nursery up close, which operates in the Municipal Administrative Center and is responsible for the direct planting of more than 26 thousand trees and the creation of the Arborometer, a tool that counts the balance of planted and suppressed trees, which acts as a database to control species diversity; plant health in trees in public spaces and public spaces; and Environmental Education Programs with public and private schools in the municipality.

Still during the visit, the children asked Mayor Luciano Barbosa questions about public management and the interests of Arapiraquense society.

On the occasion, Mayor Luciano Barbosa was moved by the message from student Geovana Lima, nine years old and a 4th year elementary school student.

The manager from Arapiraquá congratulated the school management and the teaching staff for the initiative. “This interaction is very important for the children’s educational process”, highlighted Mayor Luciano.
