City Hall invests in Sports Kits for physical education in the Municipal Network

Boosting the Physical Education discipline in the Municipal Network, Arapongas City Hall purchased 77 new sports equipment kits. With a total investment of R$ 266,065.00; between own resources and the National Education Development Fund (FNDE). This Thursday, 2nd, a symbolic delivery was made at the Papa João Paulo II Municipal School, in Jardim Petrópolis. The opportunity was attended by Mayor Sérgio Onofre, the Secretary of Education, Elisângela Bobato Cortez, and pedagogical teams. Initially, the new materials should serve the 24 Municipal Schools. Secondly, the Municipal Early Childhood Education Centers (CMEI’s) must also receive part of the items.

Mayor Sérgio Onofre reaffirms his commitment to the quality of municipal education. “Education has taken positive steps. In the delivery of sneakers, uniforms, school kits, renovation and construction of schools and CMEI’s and reinforced meals. Now, sports kits add to the good standard that we want to maintain. Our students and Education staff deserve this and much more”, he highlighted. Arapongas City Hall has already invested more than R$21 million in uniforms, sneakers and school material kits for all students in the Municipal Network over the last eight years – including students in the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) modality.

The Secretary of Education, Elisângela Cortez, also highlighted the importance of good maintenance of materials used in the Municipal Network. “The student wins, but teachers and other education workers also win. With strategic actions that strengthen learning inside and outside the classroom”, she added.

30 units of table tennis balls,

1 volleyball net; and 40 cones.
