Sports Secretariat sets up commission for the 100 Years of Emancipation of Arapiraca Race

The municipal secretary of Sports of Arapiraca, Josenildo Souza, met this Monday (6) with administrative and technical representatives to set up an Organizing Committee to deal with the actions of the Race for 100 Years of Political Emancipation of Arapiraca.

During the meeting, the secretary highlighted the importance of preparing a specific project about the event to attract resources and labor from the private sector.

The meeting took place five months before the Michell Alexandre Santos Pereira Political Emancipation Race was held for the city’s Centenary.

“We will work frequently and in alignment, listening to people linked to the sport, organized civil society, public authorities, our partners and, fundamentally, our technical and administrative staff to carry out the best race of all time”, stated Josenildo Souza.

The secretary highlighted to the members of the meeting that Mayor Luciano Barbosa is committed to commemorative actions for the Centenary of Arapiraca and wants a race to live up to the historical events in the 100 years of the Capital of Agreste.

“Everyone will contribute ideas and share them so that we can evaluate all the criteria that will be defined to hold this event, which will be great for all of us”, concluded Josenildo Souza.
