O King Charles III will thank those who “extend the hand of friendship” in times of need in an Easter message that will be heard at the ‘Royal Maundy Service’, this Thursday, March 28th.
The monarch will not be present at the traditional religious service performed by British royalty, but he did not fail to record an audio to be played on the occasion, where his wife, Queen Camilla, will be present.
According to the international press, the king will also highlight Jesus’ example “of how we should serve and care for each other.” “We need and benefit greatly from those who extend the hand of friendship to us, especially in a time of need,” he will say.
The message, reports the international press, was recorded in mid-March, weeks after he made public that he was diagnosed with cancer, but before the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, announced that she is also fighting a battle against cancer.
Carlos III will not refer to the phase that the royal family is going through for health reasons, but his words will possibly be interpreted as a recognition of the support they have received, says the Telegraph.
