The film will show a side of the beloved character that we have never seen before.

We are experiencing a new trend in cinema: horror films based on famous and beloved characters that marked our childhood – mainly from Disney – in bloodthirsty versions. Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is an example of this: the film received catastrophic reviews, but caused such a stir that a sequel was quickly announced.

And long before Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 hits theaters on April 25th, a third part of the saga has also been officially confirmed, revealing an entire multiverse that includes other characters and, soon, will bring the adorable Bambi in a version we would never have imagined seeing.

This is the plot of Bambi: The Reckoning

According to the official synopsis, Bambi: The Reckoning should follow Xana (Roxanne McKee) and her son Benji (Tom Mulheron), who, after a car accident, begin to be hunted by Bambi, a merciless killing machine. However, this is not the cute version we saw in the 1942 animation, but a monster that supposedly looks like it came out of The Ritual.

Bambi: The Reckoning was filmed in Great Britain earlier this year and is scheduled to hit theaters in the United States in 2024. We still don’t know the exact date for the film’s release in Brazil.
