“AJ Styles is this generation’s Shawn Michaels”

AJ Styles is considered by many to be one of the best wrestlers of this generation, often compared to “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels.

In conversation on his recent Patreon exclusive episode of his podcast Six Feet Under, Undertaker compared AJ Styles to Shawn Michaels:

AJ Styles ticks all the boxes. I don’t know if there will ever be another Shawn Michaels. AJ Styles can work with anyone.

He can make anyone look like a million dollars and still be able to… AJ Styles is not a big guy, but he has the ability to work with anyone and make him credible, make him solid.

This doesn’t make AJ Styles Shawn Michaels, but these are the two guys who have the highest level of work of their generation. This is my opinion, I’m sure someone else will have a different opinion.

That’s more or less why the Boneyard match happened, because I didn’t have the opportunity to work with AJ Styles and that attracted me. I really have a lot of regard for him as a human being and as an artist.
