During this Saturday’s Backlash, Damian Priest retained the World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso, thanks to the help of Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh.

A few weeks ago, “Main Event” Uso won a Fatal 4-Way Match to secure this opportunity for the world title, and he too hoped to end his story in France.

Jey Uso even started the fight in good shape, and not even JD McDonagh’s appearance stopped him, as Damian Priest didn’t appreciate the Irishman’s help.

Shortly after, it was Finn Bálor’s turn to also appear, to try to help the “Archer of Infamy” retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

Still, Jey Uso was determined, he resisted everything, and came very close to winning the fight and winning the world title.

In the end, JD McDonagh put Damian Priest’s foot on the rope to save him, and Finn Bálor even tried to attack Jey Uso outside the ring. This allowed the champion to recover and paved the way for his victory, with a South Of Heaven from the top rope.

After the fight, the Irish duo wanted to continue attacking Jey Uso, but World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest got upset with his partners and prevented that from happening.
