José Castelo Branco is being accused of domestic violence against his wife, Betty Grafstein, and the case was once again discussed on TVI’s ‘Dois à 10’.
The program discussed new information, such as the fact that the socialite has now been prevented from entering the hospital where Betty has been admitted since April 20th. They also highlighted that, last Friday, the GNR went to listen to Betty, who says “she was attacked” and that “she has been the victim over the years of abusive behavior, whether physical or psychological, on the part of her husband with whom She’s been married for 30 years.” In turn, José Castelo Branco “says it’s all a lie”, highlights the program’s reporter.
The investigation continues “and could lead to the arrest of José Castelo Branco on suspicion of domestic violence”, added a reporter from ‘Dois à 10’.
When commenting on the case, Cláudio Ramos made a point of highlighting: “I don’t know if he’s guilty, if he’s guilty, let him be convicted. But I’m a witness – and I’m not going to take it back because half the world is now saying the opposite – that he always treated Betty much better in front of me, than I did. saw. From what I talked to Betty, […] She had a great affection for Zé. Something happened for this decision, of course it did. But Betty is 95 years old and until now, everyone, including her son, and including those who have now come forward to say bad things, said: ‘Zé may have many flaws, but he is an exemplary caregiver for his wife’. Now it ceased to be from one moment to the next.”
“In fact, if it hadn’t been, the children would certainly have done something,” said Cristina Ferreira.

“[…] My fear is that he doesn’t realize the gravity of what’s happening – he’s a person I value. If they prove to me that he attacked Betty, he is a person who is dead for me.”he added.
In turn, and to finish the topic, Cristina Ferreira highlighted: “There are things that we have to take away from here. First, that we don’t know anyone, then the reality of someone’s love is only known to themselves – sometimes even their children have no idea what’s going on. And what’s more, if we are friends and if we have a sense of realities that have some violence involved, we don’t save it for later when others report it. What we do is, I think, first talk to them and then report it in the usual places. That’s how we should all act.”.
