After the singers Maiara, from the duo with Maraisa, and Mari Fernandes appeared extremely thin on the networks, internet users pointed out a “disproportion” due to their weight, stating that the “Ozempic head” is the new side effect of the medication.

Although neither of the two singers claims to have used the medication to treat weight loss, the public is suspicious due to the sudden weight loss.

“Guys, but does Ozempic leave this disproportion of the body with the head? Why are most celebrities like this”, says one user. “We already need to popularize the expression Ozempic head”, said another.

Originally created to treat type 2 diabetes, the medication has been used by some people with the intention of losing weight. Its use for this purpose, however, still divides the medical community.

“The medicine acts on the hypothalamus [área que atua na regulação do apetite], reducing hunger.
