A city in the south of Minas with the most confirmed cases of dengue, Varginha has made changes to the care provided to patients with symptoms of the disease during the long Easter holiday. The changes begin this Thursday (28) and extend until Sunday (31).

The biggest change takes place on Friday (29), when only one of the three specialized service centers is open.

  • Thursday, March 28:
    Open from 7am to 6pm in all three units
    Central Polyclinic, UBS Imaculada and UBS Pinheiros
  • Good Friday, March 29th:
    Opening only at the Central Polyclinic, from 7am to 6pm;
  • Easter Saturday and Sunday, March 30th and 31st:
    Open from 7am to 6pm in all three units
    Central Polyclinic, UBS Imaculada and UBS Pinheiros

According to the city hall, the units offer patients testing for dengue fever and hydration. The UPA, which also provides care to patients with symptoms, continues with normal service during the holiday.

The city has the most confirmations of the disease, according to data from the secretariat. In addition to the cases, the municipality has 17 deaths investigated from the disease.
