To avoid new cases, the Department of Health emphasizes that it is essential for each resident to take care of their homes and work, as this prevents the proliferation of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which transmits the disease. This care becomes even more important during the rainy season, when water accumulates and encourages mosquitoes to lay eggs.

Among the work carried out by the City Hall, there is the use of drones to inspect difficult-to-access places, theater presentations in Municipal Schools to raise children’s awareness, inspections in places that have been reported by residents, strategic points and in works for guidance and elimination of mosquito breeding sites.

Also underway throughout the city is the Mutirão Bairro a Bairro, which carries out mowing, weeding, cleaning drains, maintenance of squares and public spaces, sweeping, changing light bulbs and working on the pick-up truck, thus complementing the fight against dengue. .
