Expand care in the public health network. With this objective, the Health Promotion Secretariat (Semus) called 53 doctors within 60 days to increase staffing in health units, and also assist in the Dengue Care Center, which is located on Campus 3 of Furb.
The call was motivated by the emergency situation declared in the municipality, due to the growing number of dengue cases, in addition to Covid-19, registered since the beginning of the year in Blumenau.
Of the total, 37 permanent doctors and ACTs will serve the network as a whole and 22 of them will work in primary health care on weekends, in general family outpatient clinics. Another 16 were called on the 27th, with activities expected to begin in the next few days.
The Secretary of Health Promotion, Marcelo Lanzarin, talks about the importance of strengthening the workforce during this period. “Faced with the growing demand and complexity of health cases, we prioritized calling on more doctors to reinforce our teams. It is important to ensure that we have adequate human resources to provide quality assistance and face the challenges that arise, especially in emergency situations like the current one.”
