With the number of cases increasing weekly, Jundiaí City Hall guarantees support from the private sector to raise awareness among the population about the fight against the Aedes aegypti mosquito. In addition to the campaigns and actions carried out by municipal teams, the population is now also counting on publicizing precautions to prevent and eliminate mosquito breeding sites in the streets, shopping malls and cinemas.

Arboviruses, including dengue, are worked on by teams from the Health Promotion Management Unit (UGPS), throughout the year, and intensified from October onwards, when the rains and high temperatures begin. “In 2023, with the forecast of an increase in cases due to the circulation of virus 3, which had not circulated in the country for decades, the high rate of occurrences was already expected. Therefore, the work was intensified beforehand, with actions in partnership with the Army. At this stage, we received support from the private sector to disseminate information in different environments”, comments the manager of the Health Promotion Management Unit (UGPS), Tiago Texera.
