Where a person allergic suffer more? A survey with 2 thousand British discovered that the house is the place that but it makes people sneeze (42%), followed by garden (28%) and the bed (23%).

The survey carried out by Sterimar, a company that makes products for allergy sufferers, showed that 84% of people think that these sneezes come out of nowhere.

However, it’s not quite “out of the blue”. There are many items inside the home that are triggers for these sneezes. See what they are:

Candles and scented sprays: Candles are a common cause of respiratory allergies, as the strong scent can be irritating and cause sneezing;

Teddy bears, pillows and mattresses: Dust mites thrive in hot, dusty places like these;

Carpets, rugs and bedding: accumulate dust and animal hair;

Flowering plants: pollen is a frequent trigger of symptoms

“The home is supposed to be a comforting space, but for people with allergies the home can also be a cause of allergic rhinitis, the medical term for inflammation of the nasal passage triggered by something you’re allergic to. Such as sneezing, itchy nose and congestion can disrupt daily life, affecting the ability to breathe clearly”, explains British doctor Sara Kayat, in a research statement.

“There are things you can do to help prevent allergic rhinitis at home, such as dusting with a damp cloth, washing pets and their bedding regularly, using hypoallergenic bedding, and keeping your home dry and well ventilated .”
