The Vinhedo Health Department has authorized the application of the dengue vaccine for children aged 10 to 14 since this Monday.

The vaccine stock received by Vinhedo has an expiration date of June 2024, which allows the age limit to be released gradually.

It is mandatory to present a vaccination card and the child’s citizen card to receive immunization.

If not, you must present the child’s vaccination card and the guardian’s citizen card or proof of residence to cross-reference information. There is no need to schedule an appointment.

The dengue vaccine is available from Monday to Friday, until 4pm, at the Basic Health Units of Planalto, Vila João XXIII, Três Irmãos, Casa Verde, Meirelles, Centro Médico.

The adolescent must be vaccinated and remain seated under observation for approximately 15 minutes after the vaccine is administered.

The vaccine is contraindicated for people with HIV infection and symptomatic or with asymptomatic HIV infection with compromised immune function, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, people undergoing cancer treatment and chemotherapy.
