The action was guided by Speaker and University Professor, Dr. Daniel Abraão.

This Monday, April 29, Maracaju City Hall, through the Municipal Health Department, held an update event for Primary Care professionals on PEP, PREP and other issues related to the supply of antiretrovirals.

The action was aimed at doctors, nurses and pharmacists, also addressing the HIV Update, both with the Speaker and University Professor, Dr. Daniel Abraão.

At the time, the following were treated: Awareness at first care (post-diagnosis) – prescription; preferred ART regimen; exams to be requested; What should the prescription be like = prescription + form, when forwarding it to the Infectious Diseases Specialist? In what situation? How often? Raising awareness about carrying out Rapid Tests (key and priority population); use and indications for PREP and use and indications for PEP.

The event took place at ASSEMA headquarters, in the morning for doctors and in the afternoon for nurses and pharmacists, with professionals from the public and private networks participating.
