Divinópolis City Hall, through the Municipal Health Department (Semusa), disseminates health education actions and guidelines, carried out by the Family Health Strategy (ESF) Ipiranga team for employees of the company Haoma. The actions took place, from Monday to Thursday, during the afternoon.

On Monday (22/4), the theme of the action was food, medication and work. Workers were instructed on healthy eating and the correct use of medications. On Tuesday (23/4) the topics of women’s and men’s health at work were covered. Workers received guidance on contraceptive methods, correct use of male and female condoms, self-examination to detect nodules in men and women.

On Wednesday (24/4), the theme of the action was oral health education. The professionals provided guidance on brushing and oral hygiene, in addition to distributing dental kits. Thursday (25/4), the theme of the action was stretching and ergonomics. On this day, participants received general guidance on stretching, and community health workers did chi kung, a Chinese stretching practice, with the workers.

Friday (26/4), the topic was anxiety and mental health at work. On the last day of action, guidance was given on anxiety, emotional regulation and guidance on anxiety and medication. The program was made upon request from the company, which invited the health unit team to conduct the Internal Work Accident Prevention Week (Sipat) with health themes for workers and organized by the supervisor, together with company representatives.

The planning of the event had the participation of the Health unit in the Ipiranga neighborhood, which made several professionals available to work on various topics such as nutrition, food at work, use of medications, men’s and women’s health and also the challenges of mental health. The event featured lectures, dynamics and lots of interaction from those involved.

According to marketing manager Carolina Diniz, the moment was very important for employees to ask questions and share their own experiences. “For Haoma, this employee appreciation is essential to keep our team engaged and the collaboration of the health unit was very relevant”, she highlighted.

Director Thiago Amaral states that the moment was important so that people could be guided on current issues that permeate employee health “We have many fathers and mothers, as well as a young team who were very interested in the topics covered. And we, as a healthy chocolate company, cannot fail to address issues that are so important today, such as employee health”, he concluded.

NASF1 team members also participated: nutritionist Mário Rabelo and pharmacist Alessandra Silva; the nursing preceptor at Uemg, Gabriela Gonçalves Amaral, nurse and professor in the Department of Rehabilitation and Health Sciences at Uemg Divinópolis.

According to the supervisor of ESF Ipiranga, Alisson Israel Rodrigues, the actions were efficient opportunities to provide health education and guidance for workers in the territory where the UBS operates, largely including the unit’s team for information that was both diverse and specific. “This is the role of a Family Health Strategy, to act with commitment and quality in its area of ​​coverage, creating partnerships that enable health actions centered on the person, prevention, care and continuity of this care”, he concluded.
