Semusa publishes epidemiological bulletin…

Divinópolis City Hall, through the Municipal Health Department (Semusa), publishes the epidemiological bulletin for flu syndrome. The bulletin refers to the first 16 weeks of 2024 and is based on the flu syndrome sentinel unit, Emergency Care Unit (UPA) Padre Roberto.

The report indicates that, in 16 weeks, of a total of 79,926 consultations, 323 were due to flu syndrome, equivalent to 0.40% of the total. Of these consultations due to flu syndrome, 142 were requested by women, 43.96% of consultations, and 181 by men, 56.04%.

The most attended age group was 20 to 29 years old, with 87 visits due to flu syndrome, followed by the 40 to 49 age group, with 49 visits. From 10 to 19, there were 48; from 30 to 39, there were 48, from 2 to 4, there were 15; from 50 to 59 years old, 24; of 60 or more, 29 patients were treated. The age groups with the fewest visits due to flu syndrome were 5 to 9 years old, with 10 cases and 0 to 2 years old, with 13.

By epidemiological week, the period with the highest proportion of flu syndrome consultations was related to the fifteenth week, with 7 consultations.

Regarding respiratory viruses, by age group, the following microorganisms were found:
– 0 to 2 years, 1 case of adenovirus and 2 cases of Rhinovirus were recorded;
– 2 to 4 years, 2 cases of rhinovirus and 2 cases of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) were recorded;
– 5 to 9 years old, 2 cases of rhinovirus and 2 cases of RSV were recorded;
– 10 to 19 years old, 1 case of metapneumovirus was recorded;
– 30 to 39 years old, there were 2 cases of rhinovirus and 1 case of RSV;
– 40 to 49 years old, 1 case of Covid, 1 case of influenza, 1 case of rhinovirus and 2 cases of RSV were recorded;
– 50 to 59 years old, 1 case of covid and 1 case of metapneumovirus were recorded;
– 60 years or older, 3 cases of adenovirus, 5 cases of covid, 1 case of influenza, 5 cases of metaoneumovirus, 11 cases of rhinovirus and 7 cases of RSV were recorded.
