Sesau (Municipal Health Department) will serve four points in Campo Grande during this Saturday’s vaccination shift (4). All doses on the calendar will be available for people aged six months and older, including flu and dengue doses.
Of the points, the teams will be in two health units and two shopping malls. The municipal secretary of Health, Rosana Leite de Melo, highlights the importance of vaccination given the high incidence of cases of respiratory diseases.
“It is essential that people who belong to priority groups seek out the units to get vaccinated. The vaccine is the best prevention strategy against influenza and has the capacity to promote immunity during the period of greatest circulation of viruses, reducing the worsening of the disease, hospitalizations and the number of deaths”, he highlighted.
This year, the vaccine made available by the Unified Health System (SUS) is effective against three types of virus strains in combination: a. A/Victoria/4897/2022 (H1N1)pdm09; B. A/Thailand/8/2022 (H3N2); w. B/Austria/1359417/2021 (B/Victoria lineage), in accordance with Normative Instruction (IN) no. 261, of October 25, 2023, of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).
