Immunization started this Saturday, 4th, at AGFs Garcia, Velha and Itoupava

The application of the immunizer against dengue, as recommended by the Ministry of Health (MS), in children and adolescents aged 10 to 14 began in Blumenau at the General Family Outpatient Clinics (AGFs) Garcia, Velha and Itoupava. During this Saturday, the 4th, the municipality recorded 385 applications, of the 2,536 doses of the Qdenga vaccine received.

As of Monday, 6th, vaccination continues in the seven AGFs: Centro, Badenfurt, Garcia, Velha, Itoupava, Escola Agrícola and Fortaleza. Furthermore, over the next week, immunization will also be carried out in other Family Health Strategies (ESFs).

To receive the vaccine, simply look for one of the city’s health units with an active vaccination room. The dengue vaccine application schedule is two doses with an interval of three months between them, and aims to reduce hospitalizations and deaths from the disease.
