Belo Horizonte gains, this week, two new flu vaccination points in the Center-South region: the Boulevard shopping mall, in the Santa Efigênia neighborhood — with vaccinations until Friday (May 10), from 11 am to 6 pm — and the college Pitágoras, at Escritores — with immunization on Wednesdays, from 8am to 5pm.
The vaccine is available to the entire population over the age of six months. To be vaccinated, you must present an identity document with photo, CPF and vaccination card. With the expansion of application sites, the city hopes to increase vaccination coverage, offering greater protection against influenza.
In addition to these two extra points, vaccination in Belo Horizonte takes place in all 152 health centers in the city, in addition to more than 20 partner drugstores of the Municipal Health Department (SMS). Click here to see addresses.
New flu vaccination sites:
shopping boulevard: second floor, next to the O Boticário store. Immunization will be available until Friday (10), from 11 am to 6 pm, and access can be done via Rua Professor Octaviano de Almeida, in Santa Efigênia.
Pitagoras College: Rua dos Aimorés, 1,300, in the Escritores neighborhood, every Wednesday, from 8am to 5pm.
BCG also has expanded points
Starting this Monday, the places where the BCG vaccine against tuberculosis can be administered were also gradually expanded in 36 health units in the capital. The measure aims to guarantee the protection of newborns against the most serious forms of the disease, and it is essential that fathers, mothers or guardians take babies exclusively to these places.
