Ub starts vaccination against Dengue

The municipality of Ubá received 1580 doses of dengue vaccine from the Ministry of Health. Starting this Tuesday (07), the Department of Health will begin applying the vaccine, at the Regional Polyclinic, for people from 10 to 14 years of age in Uba.
Vaccination will be carried out from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm, with the exception of Wednesdays, which will be from 12pm to 5pm. From Thursday (09), it will also be possible to get vaccinated at the Basic Health Units listed below, according to the vaccination schedules for each of them:

To receive the application, the child or adolescent must be accompanied by a guardian and carry the Child’s Card. SUS. It is worth remembering that vaccination will be available while doses last.
The dengue vaccine is contraindicated for pregnant women, breastfeeding women, immunocompromised individuals or those who have used corticosteroids in the last 4 weeks. People with chronic conditions must undergo a medical evaluation before receiving vaccination.

Developed by Takeda Pharma, Qdenga (TAK-003) is a vaccine that contains live attenuated viruses, creating immune responses against the four dengue serotypes present in the Americas (DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3 and DENV-4) . The vaccination schedule consists of two doses, administered with an interval of three months between them.
In March 2023, the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) granted approval to the immunizer. In December of the same year, it was integrated into the National Immunization Program (PNI).
