Study reveals how nutrients in broccoli can boost mental capacity

Studies reveal that regular consumption of broccoli and other dark green vegetables is associated with a lower risk of mental decline and memory problems in the elderly.

These nutrients act synergistically in the brain, promoting the health of neurons and facilitating the transmission of signals between nerve cells, which improves the ability to reason, memorize and concentrate.

Additionally, broccoli contains antioxidant compounds that help protect brain cells against damage caused by oxidative stress.

Research carried out with more than 900 elderly people highlights that those who included at least one daily serving of dark green vegetables, such as broccoli, in their diet had a lower risk of experiencing age-related mental decline.

These findings reinforce the importance of broccoli as a beneficial food for brain health and the maintenance of cognitive function throughout life. The information is from UOL.
