Are there foods that we should consume or avoid to prevent cancer? Paula Ravasco, doctor and specialist in clinical nutrition and oncology, will give answers to this and other questions, at the next meeting of the “Saúde à Mesa… and not only!” program, on nutrition and disease. The event takes place next Saturday, May 11th, at 3 pm, at the Edifício Atlas Aveiro. Entry is free.

Is nutrition important in fighting cancer? How to improve the digestibility of certain foods? Are currently used flours and food additives such as some sweeteners a health concern? What tips should you follow for a healthier diet? These and other questions will be debated, in another moment of sharing about nutrition and disease, this time in close dialogue with guest Paula Cristina Ravasco, a doctor specializing in the subject. This conversation will be moderated by Rolando Andrade, psychotherapist and advisor to the Portuguese Society of Health Literacy.

“Health at the Table… and beyond!” is a health literacy program promoted by Fábrica Centro Ciência Viva de Aveiro and the Centro Académico Clônico Egas Moniz Health Alliance, which includes workshops, exhibitions and debates.
