A Lisbon City Council announced, this Friday, the temporary conditioning of traffic during the weekend, in several places between Belém and Cais do Sodré, due to the Lisbon International Half Marathon.

According to the statement on the website, on Saturday, between 11 am and 1 pm, Avenida Brasília will suffer “temporary cuts during the tests”.

Access via the Alcântara Viaduct to the Riverside Zone and access to the Avenida Infante Santo viaduct will also be “closed moments before departure”.

Access to the Pedrouços Viaduct will be guaranteed, giving access to Vela Latina, Torre de Belém and Padrão dos Descobrimentos.

Access to the Belém River Station, a “heavily restricted area”, will be closed during the race.

Between 4 pm and 6 pm, the area of ​​the Belém River Station will suffer “a temporary cut, ensuring the fluidity of Avenida Brasília, foreseeing the suppression of one lane”.

Access to the parking lot next to the Belém River Station will be “guaranteed in urgent cases”.

At 23:00 on Saturday, traffic will be cut off on Avenida da Índia between the Pedrouços Viaduct and Avenida Torre de Belém.

On Sunday, the 25 de Abril Bridge will suffer “strong restrictions from 4 am” and traffic will be prohibited on the accesses from 8:50 am. Praça do Império will have “prohibited access from 8 am to 4 pm”.

The realization of the tests will also close, from 09:15, Avenida da Índia (until 17:00); the square of Cais do Sodré; street layout between Avenida da Índia and the Praça do Império tram line until 5 pm on Monday; Off the Praça do Império.
