A 35-year-old man was stabbed twice in the leg on Tuesday morning on a bus in Loures.

The victim, as he told the PSP, argued with a group of passengers where the 48-year-old attacker was. He, detained by the PSP with the murder weapon in his hand, said he acted to try to prevent his cell phone from being stolen.


The alert was given at 7:45 am. A patrol was called, following reports of disorder inside Carris Metropolitana bus 2754, which was stopped on Rua da República.Officers found the victim inside public transport. In addition to traces of blood, the victim had two deep puncture wounds on one of his legs. The Loures Firefighters were immediately called, who assisted him while still inside the bus. The agents heard the version of the man attacked and, later, the version of the attacker, caught with a bloody knife in his hand. The two presented different accounts of the story. While the victim said it was an argument, without mentioning the reason, the attacker explained that he reacted because he was being robbed. The victim attacked was with other men, and that’s why he reacted.
The stabbed man went to Beatriz Ângelo Hospital, in Loures, and the attacker was detained.
