Faro Chamber puts Participatory Budget projects to vote

-

Process takes place between March 1st and 31st, 2024

Faro City Council is implementing the fourth edition of its Participatory Budget (OP). The municipality will allocate, in total, a budget of 240,000 euros and 10,000 euros for the OP Faro-Escolas (under development in the municipality’s schools with students in the 3rd cycle or secondary education).

After the period of presenting proposals in 11 participatory meetings (in-person) and on the Participatory Budget Portal (online), the technical committee analyzed the 36 proposals, and 16 projects were selected that were capable of being submitted for voting. The voting period runs from the 1st to the 31st of March.

All citizens aged 18 or over, who live, work or study in the municipality of Faro, can vote for 2 of the 16 projects that are being voted on on the Participatory Budget portal by clicking here.

Remember that the projects most voted by citizens will be the winners until the budget of 240 thousand euros is exhausted, with each parish/union of parishes having at least one winning project. In April 2024, the winning projects will be announced, which will run until 2026.
