Académico goalkeeper feels more motivated than ever
Domen Gril received the distinction of Goalkeeper of the Month for January from Liga Portugal SABSEG, at Estádio do Fontelo, in Viseu. The Slovenian is an unconditional fan of rice, something he eats every day for several meals and explains, in a fun way, that the secret to success goes beyond the rice he eats daily: “opposing teams shoot very little on goal and I don’t have that much work”, he replied good-naturedly.
“The key is the team, the success of the team, which changed its attitude and that helped me to keep the goal to zero many times. I always want to challenge myself more, if I have a difficult day I will always remember these monthly prizes and what they mean to me”, explained the 22-year-old player.
The goalkeeper won 20 percent of the votes from the competition’s coaches. Lucas França, from CD Nacional, received the same number of votes as Domen Gril, but came in second place for having more effective minutes of play (400′). Olafsson, from CD Mafra, closed the podium, with 17.78 percent of the votes.
