The music “that is produced in the interstices”, by bands such as the Portuguese Palácio Inferno and Cobrafuma and the Brazilian Deafkids, will be served at the Ano Malfeito party, at the end of this month in Fafe.

Ano Malfeito is an initiative by the independent cultural promoter Malfeito, which since 2017 has been promoting cultural initiatives in Fafe, particularly alternative rock, at Café Avenida.

According to that promoter, the Bad Year “underlines the importance of looking at the scope of what is produced in the interstices” and in 2024 it presents itself as “a Lenten celebration”, as it coincides with the Easter weekend.

Between March 28th and 30th, there will be concerts at Café Avenida, but also at Café Verde Pinho and the proposals are mainly from Portuguese artists, such as Cobrafuma, a band from Porto who released their first album, the same name, in 2023, which draws from ‘punk’ , of ‘thrash’ and ‘rock’n’roll’, and fellow countrymen Conference Inferno, who in autumn published the album “Pós-Esmeralda”, a combination of ‘rock’ aesthetics with ‘post punk’ and electronica.

They are joined by O Triunfo dos Acéfalos, who describe themselves as an ‘electro-punk’ project, by Luís Barreto and Bugs Ferreira, from Santo Tirso, and the musician and DJ A Boy Named Sue.

Ano Malfeito will also feature the Brazilian Deafkids who, according to the label Lovers & Lollypops, will tour Portugal in the coming weeks for a series of concerts with the album “Ritos do Colapso”.

This Brazilian trio performs on the 21st at the Tremor festival, in the Azores, followed by Porto (22nd), Fafe (30th), Aveiro (April 4th) and Bragança (April 6th).
