A 35-year-old man, of Romanian origin, is suspected of having killed his two daughters, aged two and four, in Alcubillas, a municipality in the community of Castilla-La Mancha, in Spain, on Sunday night. After committing the crime, the suspect committed suicide.
According to El Mundo, the alert was given by the mother of the two minors at around 10:30 pm. The Civil Guard and emergency services were mobilized to the location, which confirmed the three deaths.
According to investigation sources, the woman contacted the agents and stated that the ex-partner poisoned his daughters.
The victims’ mother had a restraining order against the suspect, since 2022, due to episodes of mistreatment and insults. The woman also stated that during her pregnancy she was the victim of beatings by her ex-partner.
After the separation, he went to live in Alcubillas with the children, a place where his father went to allegedly kill them, before committing suicide.
The Civil Guard is investigating the death of the man and the two girls.
