The international parent company of the ORPEA group, a leader in the care of seniors and dependent people, announced that its new global brand will be emeis. This new identity aims to respond to a new moment for the company that reflects the growth it has experienced, both internationally and in Portugal, and that unifies the different brands in the twenty countries where it is already present, with more than 76,000 employees in 1,100 establishments.

emeis means “we” in ancient Greek and reflects the company’s ambition to evoke the community and represent the collective (employees, residents, patients and their families). The colors and symbols of the new brand suggest the softness, light and humanity that characterize health and social care professionals.

In Portugal, the company has 9 residences (Flavicórdia in Chaves, Resisénior in Braga, Casa de Avioso in Castêlo da Maia, emeis Viseu where they implemented the first UPAD – Protected Unit for Alzheimer’s and other Dementias in Portugal, Coimbra Sénior in Cernache, Doce Viver in Vila Seca, Sénior Club in Póvoa de Santa Iria, Saúde Sénior in Montijo, Porto Salus in Azeitão), the Center for Giesta Rehabilitation (CRG in Chaves) and a hospital (Hospital Nossa Senhora da Arrábida in Azeitão).
