GP of Portugal. Miguel Oliveira climbs six positions and sprints to the top 10
Pilot Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) came in ninth place in the home race of the World Speed Championship, at the MotoGP Grand Prix of Portugal, held at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão.
The Portuguese climbed to 10th place on the 17th lap, reached ninth place on the 6th lap, fell to 12th shortly afterwards, but ended up recovering the position three laps from the end of the race.
Remember that Miguel Oliveira was ranked 12th in Saturday’s sprint race, starting this Sunday from 15th place for the main race, with 25 laps planned.
The driver’s teammate, Raúl Fernández, abandoned the race after suffering a crash on the fourth lap.
Jorge Martín was the big winner of the Portuguese GP, followed by Bastianini in second place and Pedro Acosta who took third, thus completing the podium.
