Ponte da Barca: Fred Antunes, president of the Portuguese Association of Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies participates in a session at the House of Knowledge | Newspaper C

These are some of the questions that on April 4th, at 9:30 pm, will be on the table in the “Told Time” session that will take place at the Casa do Knowledge in Ponte da Barca. The event will feature the special participation of Fred Antunes, a prominent figure in the world of cryptocurrencies in Portugal and beyond borders.

Fred Antunes, current president of the Portuguese Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Association and CEO of Real Fevr, a popular fantasy football application, will bring his unique experience to unravel the mysteries and challenges surrounding the growing influence of cryptocurrencies on the global economic landscape.

With an extensive resume in the sector, Fred Antunes held the position of President of the Board of Directors of the Portuguese Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies Association from February 2016 to May 2022. During his tenure, he led key initiatives aimed at the successful implementation of blockchain technology across multiple sectors, including fintech and public markets. Additionally, his leadership was instrumental in promoting the adoption of cryptocurrencies in emerging markets.

In addition to his work in the associative sphere, Fred Antunes has a solid academic background, serving as a University Professor at ISAG – Instituto Superior de Administração e Gestão since February 2022. As an External Consultant at Bison Bank, Fred Antunes played a strategic role in construction of the technological infrastructure necessary to obtain a Crypto License from the Portuguese Regulator, leaving its mark on the development of the cryptographic financial sector in Portugal.
