Grestel obtains certification in environmental management

Grestel, the company that produces the Costa Nova brand, has just obtained certification in Environmental Management. The certification, which takes place a few months after the celebration of Grestel’s 25th anniversary, “is fully aligned with the environmental management principles that have guided the company since its foundation”, it is announced in a statement.

Supported by the NP ISO 14001:2015 standard, the certification of environmental management systems constitutes an essential tool for transmitting increased trust in the relationship with employees, customers, suppliers and the surrounding community, as it certifies practices and demonstrates the company’s commitment to improving its environmental performance.

It means that, after being subjected to a demanding process that included follow-up audits to verify the standard’s requirements, Grestel unequivocally demonstrated that it complies with systematic and environmentally sustainable management and confirms the implementation of internal processes that contribute to improving management environmental, is added in the note sent to the press.

According to the company’s management, “the certification places a formal seal on our environmental management practices. Since the founding of the company, we have promoted sustainability through stoneware, combining environment and energy efficiency, ecological materials and equally ecological products (which are at their peak in our ecogres collections), but also in our work ethics and social responsability. Sustainability in our company is not just a word, it is a reality and a daily practice that cuts across the various departments.”

Founded in 1998, Grestel is based in Vagos and is dedicated to the production of tableware, ovenware and serving accessories in fine stoneware.
