One fatality in 129 accidents in Braga. This is the balance of occurrences detected in the weekly operation of the Braga District Command of the GNR, between March 18th and 24th.
33 arrests were made, of which 14 were for driving under the influence of alcohol, 11 for theft, three for domestic violence and two for driving without a legal license.
Regarding traffic, 278 infractions were detected: 118 for speeding, 43 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 20 for driving with a blood alcohol level higher than permitted, 16 for lack of civil insurance, 13 for being overweight, ten for improper use of a cell phone while driving, ten for missing or incorrect child protection and restraint systems and, also, 5 related to tachographs.
In terms of accidents, the 129 accidents resulted in one fatality, five serious injuries and 48 minor injuries.
Furthermore, 89 administrative offense notices were issued, including 53 relating to police legislation, 28 relating to nature and environmental protection legislation and eight relating to drug use.
