The final phase of Euro2024 will take place from June 14th to July 14th, in Germany, with Portugal included in Group F, together with Georgia, the Czech Republic (June 18th, in Leipzig) and Turkey (June 22nd , in Dortmund).
This Tuesday, March 26, Georgia won the 22nd place in the 2024 European Football Championship, by beating Greece 4-2 at home on penalties, after 120 minutes without goals, setting up a meeting with Portugal in Group F of the final stage.
In Tbilisi, at the final of Path C of the play-offsthe Georgians made four of five shots – while the Greeks missed two of four – to seal an unprecedented qualification and meet the Portuguese team at the end of the group stage, in Gelsenkirchen, on June 26th.
The Georgians also join hosts Germany, Albania, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, France, Hungary, England, Italy, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Switzerland and Turkey.
The last two ‘passports’ will be awarded this Tuesday to the winners of the matches Wales-Poland, in Cardiff, and Ukraine-Iceland, in Wroclaw, Poland.
