Diogo Freitas, businessman from Ponte de Lima, who headed the group of businessmen who will buy titles from Global Media, including Jornal de Notícias, O Jogo and TSF, left the management of the company created for this purpose, Notícias Ilimitadas.

“I resigned due to differences of thought regarding the strategy to be followed for the new group”, says, in statements to the newspaper Eco, the boss of Officetotal Food Brand, which owns the iconic Belgian bolchas, and of OTI Investimentos, the company through which it makes part of the group of shareholders that created Verbos Imaculados, which, in turn, owns 61% of Notícias Ilimitadas.

“I don’t want to be an obstacle to the good development of the project, but I cannot be asked to agree with what is not in line with my vision of what is best for the business”, adds Diogo Freitas.

According to the same source, despite leaving administration, Diogo Freitas remains one of the five shareholders of Notícias Ilimitadas, with 25%, of Verbos Imaculados, a company also owned by Parsoc (30%), by Domingos de Andrade (20% ), by Mesosytem (15%) and by Illyria (10%).

The agreement to purchase the titles Jornal de Notícias, O Jogo, Revistas JN História, Notícias Magazine, Evasões, Volta ao Mundo and TSF has been finalized and should be signed in the coming days.
